My application is filed with Texas Service Centre.
Forgot to mention, my attorney did state that their office received an approval 2 weeks back whose priority date was not even close to current. She did not share the specifics.
I just checked my online status and it doesnt have any updates since 2007, states its received and pending... Not sure how current is the online info.

Hi,
I talked to my lawyer and she didn't mention about any kind of delay so can you please give me some more details about this PIM and how does it affect the whole process and slow things down.

scorion PIM process is a new additional step that is now part of visa stamping process. if you read around here you will find out more about it but in short uscis office in kentucy has to scan and upload all your supporting documents i.e employement letter etc that you might have used to get an H1 approval. The embassy you will visit for visa stamping has to review all the uploaded doc's before stamping your visa. Now I read in one of the thread here that someone in chennai has been stuck for over 3 to 4 weeks after their visa intvw just because the PIM process is not done. Hope this helps. Keep the cool. USCIS is very unpredictable as we all have seen. Get ready to see the dates move forward pretty quickly this year! There are more chances to have increased visa numbers and things can only go UP from here on.

Everyone can apply until August 17, but in the August VB, all the categories are U, which means no one is current and who knows when that will change. When processing, theoretically RD it's important, but when you get to the stage of being approved, you'll actually be approved only if your PD will be current at that time. Don't count too much on any guidelines, because some people get approved in weeks,others in years. Good luck.

Till last year EB 3 would get additional visa from the leftovers of ROW, both EB2 and EB 3-I would benefit from the ROW visia, now all the visas are going to EB2, so i agree with you, there is little hope for EB 3.
Why are there no repurcussions if USCIS admits that they were incorrectly allocating the visa earlier. they can suddenly change the rules and everybody keeps quiet....strange.
EB-3 won't need help when everyone else is done because the only people left to allocate visas would be EB-3 only . I guess we are just in for a long long wait.

We can predict EB2 movement but EB3 is kind of gone case for this year too. Without any CIR, we can just pray that EB2 for all countries become current or at least move until july fiasco date (Aug 2007) so that spillover starts trickling to EB3.
Since EB2 I/C after Aug 2007 PD haven't filed their I-485 yet so the visa numbers if any left out by clearing until Aug 2007 should go to EB3I (the most retrogressed country). I don't see it happening this year but in 2010 it's a possibility.

Not true. Anybody donates will get Donor status. This is started for last few days, so people who donated in last few days get this. Pappu mentioned that he is planning to cross reference this with old donations but not sure whats happening there.
